- Research has shown that people affected by traumas, such as a flood, continue to have significant needs for quite some time after the actual disaster.
- A State Disaster Behavioral Health Response Team was activated for immediate response to the disaster.
- There now are 55 RI HOPE outreach workers in the State.
- Rhode Island became eligible for the grant that has established RI HOPE as a disaster response program, and RI HOPE may be reactivated should another disaster occur.
